For the past three years, we've had a "glitch" in our Arkansas Young Playwrights Competition calendar. The submission deadline was each April, and the Competition was the following November. Unfortunately, this meant that some of our Finalists went away to college each Fall, (after graduating from high school in the Spring), and couldn't attend their own Competition. So we're changing our Competition dates.
Beginning this year, the new submission deadline will be in November, and the Competition will take place the following April. The date of the 2016-17 Competition will be April 15, 2017. (Location is pending.)
Because this calendar change eliminates this year's Seniors from competing, we will accept plays this Fall from students who are Seniors in this current 2016 Spring semester.
